The TeamTiger Coaching staff has a robust mix of talent with decades of experience coaching and playing lacrosse at virtually every level -- from youth to professional lacrosse.
Northport High School Varsity Coach
A proven coach at every level — youth, high school and college. George has brought teams to State and National Championships while coaching at Yorktown, NYIT and Northport.
George got his start in 1986 at upstate powerhouse Yorktown High School. During his tenure at Yorktown they won the New York State Championships in 1989, 1991, 1992, and 1993, and they were New York State Finalists in 1987 and 1990. While the head coach at Yorktown he was named Hudson Valley Coach of the Year in 1994 and 1996. He was also the Hudson Valley Empire State Team Coach.
In 1999 he became a Varsity Head Coach at Northport HS. He was named Suffolk County Coach of the Year that same year and took the Tigers to back-to-back state championships in 2000 and 2001.
In 2002 George took the offensive coordinator position at NYIT. While there, he helped lead the Bears to two NCAA championships.
George is currently the Northport HS Varsity Coach. He is also a member of the Northport Lacrosse Club Board of Directors and a founder of Team Tiger.
Holds Professional Coaching License from the New York State Education Department
Towson University
Joe attended Towson University ('90) and played midfield for the Tigers. He was a two-time all-county midfielder for St Mary's High School in Manhasset, where he and his teammates won the Long Island Championship in 1985.
That LI championship team produced 6 Division 1 players, 2 All-Americans, 3 College National Champions, 2 National Champion runner ups and 2 World Team Members.
Joe was an original member of the Northport Lacrosse Club Board of Directors and the club's President for 3 years. Joe has and continues to handle the Marketing and Communications functions for the club.
By day, Joe is the AVP of Interactive Development for Publishers Clearing House. Joe's expertise in marketing and web development help ensure clear communication and organization. His skill-set and experience helps TeamTiger leap towards its mission to provide every player the opportunity to develop their skills through competitive team play and individual/group skill development.
Johns Hopkins University
Brad was a two-time All-American defensive midfielder at Johns Hopkins University 1985 & 1986. Member of the NCAA Championship teams at Johns Hopkins University 1984 & 1985. Voted Outstanding Defensemen; 1986. Brad also lettered in football for JHU and held the record for all-purpose yards for over 10 years. Four years as an assistant coach at C.W. Post; 6 years as an assistant coach at Mepham HS including county finalists in 1992 and currently a Northport School District coach. Brad is also a Northport Lacrosse Club Board Member and coaches his daughters’ Northport Lacrosse Club teams.
